Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The goal of this lecture series is to get familiar with the diversity of the metabolic potential of microbes. Topics include: carbon dioxide fixation, nitrogen fixation and assimilation, ammonification, denitrification, methanogenesis and methanotrophy, secondary metabolites, electromicrobiology, and microbial biotechnology. Participants learn and understand the basics of these metabolic features, which will be explained and illustrated using examples from current applications and recent research findings.[Lecture in German; lecture slides in English]
