Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Morphological abnormalities in bones can be caused by inflammation, infections, trauma, tumors, aging, wear and tear as well as by malformations. Bone material altered in this way is presented and differentiated macroscopically, radiologically, and histologically from other diseases or post-mortem changes.

Assessment and permitted materials

Performance assessment:
Active participation in the internship (50 %);
final paper on a pathology presented in the practical course and its presentation (50 %)
Required tool:
Laptop

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Solid knowledge of regular anatomy and anatomical nomenclature of bones as well as of the pathologies presented;
mandatory attendance (100 %);
more than 50% must be achieved to be assessed positively

Examination topics

The entire content of the internship. During the final presentation also the examination of anatomical nouns, pathological features, and criteria relevant to differential diagnosis will be included
