mandatory preliminary talk: 5.3.2018, 11.00 seminar room Limnology (floor 3, between Spange 3 and 4). Individual support during the semester. Final talks of the MEC4-projects will be given on September, 24th and 25th 2018 between 9 and 12 in the “Limnology Seminar Room" (3rd floor, beween Spange 3 and 4 UZA1).


Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Students will choose one of the offered topics (i.e. a small scientific project) and then work on this project under the supervision of the contributing staff in the respective working groups and labs. This course is providing all new MEC students a first opportunity to dip into practice-oriented research. Depending on the topic and the number of participants, students will either work individually, or in very small groups together.

Assessment and permitted materials

Final talks of the MEC4-projects will be given on September, 24th and 25th 2018 between 9 and 12 in the “Limnology Seminar Room" (3rd floor, beween Spange 3 and 4 UZA1). Grading will be done by your supervisor.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Active participation during the project work (70%) and final oral presentation (30%)

Examination topics

Scientific lab work under direct supervision of faculty staff.
