Aims, contents and method of the course

Principles of bioindication; Presentation of methods of freshwater bioindication and examples: e. g. Assessment of the ecological condition of wetlands on the basis of dragonfly surveys; biological water quality assessment; assessment of the ecological integrity of surface waters on the basis of the investigation of fish and macroinvertebrates; accumulation of hazardous substances.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam at the end of the semester. The exact dat is given in the first unit.
