Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Masters and PhD students in theoretical biology, zoology, evolutionary biology and related study programs present their research. The goal is to improve the presentation skills and practice scientific reasoning, as well as engage in the discussion of one's own work. Students will receive feedback on the quality of presentation, as well as suggestions for improvement.Students' presentations will be supplemented by invited talks of renowned national and international speakers as well as discussions of scientific topics.
Assessment and permitted materials
Presence at the seminar and presentation of own Research (Power Point presentation, can also be in early stage of the work, lacking the final results).
To schedule a presentation for credit, students are asked to contact sonja.matus@univie.ac.at at the beginning of the semester and agree on an available slot.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students need to participate in every seminar (Maximum allowance of absence: 3 times) AND GVE A TALK IN ONE of the seminars in order to obtain credits.Please make sure to schedule the talk at the start of the semester.
