One focus will be how light as an essential energy resource influences plant growth by modulating the activity of different hormone classes. A second focus covers fields of rhythm biology in animal systems, specifically their interplay with the hormone system, the influence of light on these rhythms and possible novel photoreceptors. By constructively discussing up-to-date literature, the students will obtain an overview about modern concepts and approaches in these timely research areas.
