discussion, which techniques are adequate and which are not (oral presentation)written evaluation of study progress during the course
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Light microscopical techniques are standards for biological questions; therefore, the knowledge of these methods is essential in biology. This course is dealing with the methods that are linked to the light microscope.
Examination topics
Light microsc.: bright field, dark field, phase- and interference contrast, polarization
Fluorescence micr.: conventional and confocal laser scanning microsc.
