Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course concepts and methods of landscape ecology are illustrated. At first the term "landscape" used and described by various disciplines is introduced and the diversity of landscape perception is lightened. The following foray through the history of landscape ecology ranges from the basic principles and first concepts of the 1930ies to modern landscape ecology.
