In addition to providing an in-depth introduction to the different phyla, individual lectures will focus on these evolutionary innovations. The series will cover topics such as brain development, sensory systems, exo- and endoskeletons, or toxins. Moreover, model organisms and important pest species will be introduced, and the decline of certain groups will be discussed.
