Aims, contents and method of the course
Characters and differences in the anatomy and the morphology of native fishes and the evolution of swimming and feeding in fishes is presented. The seminar is supplemented by comparision of preparations and by the visit of the ichthyological collection of the Natural History Museum of Vienna. This lecture is recomended for: 2011S, PP Anatomy of native fishes.
Assessment and permitted materials
Anwesenheit; Mitarbeit; Erarbeiten von Inhalten ausgewählter Literatur; schriftliche Seminararbeit.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Anatomische und morphologische Strukturen und deren Funktion erkennen und im Kontext mit ökoklogischen Parametern interpretieren; Erarbeiten von Informationen aus Publikationen und Internet; Verfassen einer schriftlichen Seminararbeit nach wissenschaftlichen Kriterien (Text und Abbildungen); Präsentation von Referaten.
Examination topics
Einführungsvorträge sowie Besprechung neuer Literatur; Literaturarbeit; Verfassen einer schriftlichen Seminararbeit nach wissenschaftlichen Kriterien.
