Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

An introduction into the rich tropical amphibian fauna is given. Own research topics as well as classic publications on the biology, eco-ecology and systematics of Asian, African and neotropical anurans are discussed ( in english !!)

Assessment and permitted materials

the evaluation consists of different performances:
- active participation
- oral presentations (in January 2026)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimal requirement: compulsory attendance, active participation, oral presentation
Assessment criteria (key):
- active participation 50%,
- oral presentation 50%
(english skills will not be evaluted and do not contribute to the assessment)

Examination topics

oral presentation will be on a tropical amphibian article provided by the lecturers.
information needed for the presention will be discussed in detail during the course.
