Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Autumn- and winter aspects of Austrian birds and their habitats.
In four field excursions we present different waterhabitats with their overwintering and migrating avifauna.

We plan to use private cars for the excursions.

Assessment and permitted materials

active participation in the four excursions, short test with determination exercises at the last excursion

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Active participation in the four excursions, for a positive graduation certificate max. one excursion may be missed. Favorably you bring your binoculars or telescope, but this is no obligation.
Grading system:
8 points for active participation (2 for each excursion) possible + 8 points for the test = 16 points possible
15-16P: 1, 13-14 P: 2, 11-12P: 3, 9-10P: 4, 0-8P: 5

Examination topics

determination of Austrian birds on the water, ecological niches of the species, determination exercises with photos (8 points for the test possible)
