The time of this lab rotation within the Master ESB is freely determined in accordance with the direct supervisor.
Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Lab rotations are mandatory for students of the Master Evolutionary Systems Biology. Students have to choose a lab corresponding to one of the three major thematic pillars of the master program: Population Genetics, Quantitative and Systems Biology, EvoDevo and Molecular Evolution. Students work on research projects in the lab, which could lead to a Master thesis project.
Assessment and permitted materials
Students give a seminar in the lab and hand in a written report on the project.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students must have fulfilled the necessary requirements of the Master program. The performance during the lab rotation (50%) and the report (50%) are graded by the supervisor.
