Aims, contents and method of the course

This course begins by introducing basic ecotoxicological concepts and then illustrates marine pollution based on the topics oil, heavy metals, halogenated hydrocarbons, radioactivity, eutrophication, and marine debris; marine fisheries and mariculture are presented as examples of the use and abuse of marine resources.

Assessment and permitted materials

erster Prüfungstermin Ende Juni, zweite Prüfungstermin: ca. mitte Oktober 2014.
first exam in late June, second exam date sometime in mid-October 2014. Exam is a mixture of multiple-choice, true-false and short questions (in English, but answers can be in German)
