Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course is held in English. It begins by introducing basic ecotoxicological concepts and then illustrates marine pollution based on the topics oil, heavy metals, halogenated hydrocarbons, radioactivity, eutrophication, and marine debris; marine fisheries and mariculture are presented as examples of the use and abuse of marine resources.
Assessment and permitted materials
First exam date in late June, second exam date sometime in mid-October 2025. Exam is a mixture of multiple-choice (single choice), true-false and short questions (in English, but answers can be in German).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The exam has 50 points, you must reach 25 (50%) to pass, the grades 1-4 are divided equally between 25 and 50.
Examination topics
The questions are more or less equally divided according to the topics listed above under "Inhalt". The exam is in English but you can answer the questions that require written text in German if you wish
