Ecophysiology of plants, an introduction in the practical field-course.
The lecture gives an introduction in quantitative ecosystem analysis focused on microclimate (solar radiation, albedo, radiation balance, temperature, evaporation, air humidity and wind), water balance of plants (transpiration, diffusion resistance, xyleme water potential together with anatomical observations, stoma aperture) and estimation of primary production (direct and indirect methods). The measuring techniques are classified with respect to the ecological relevance.
