Aims, contents and method of the course

Students gain a general overview of evolutionary events and the origin of vertebrates and major vertebrate groups, respectively. The knowledge will be presented as lecture. Lecture contents:
Topic 1: Origin and early evolution of vertebrates
Topic 2: Evolution of the vertebrate skeletal system
Topic 3: Major events in the evolution of vertebrates
Topic 4: Taphonomy of vertebrates
30.06: Final examination

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The final examination is a multiple-choice test. At least 60% of questions need to be answered correctly for passing the test successfully.
