Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This exercise provides a practical introduction into sampling of microalgae from the field, cell isolation, preparation of growth media and cultivation of microalge.

With cultures prepared in the course, physiologal experiments will be conducted in the course block. Examples are P and N-incorporation, different light supply, resistance against salt and dessication).

- lab protocol (10 %)
- team report (40 %)

all partial performances must be positive to finish the course

Passed with more than 50% positive overall performance

- introduction into experimental design and handling of microorganisms
