Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment of participants will be based on a written report (Bachelor thesis) (contributes 60 % to final mark) and a seminar talk (contributes 40 % to final mark) presenting the results of the conducted research projects.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
In addition to the active participation in the field work, the submission of the bachelor thesis, the oral presentation of the results, and the achievement of an overall grade of at least 4 are required for successful participation in the course.
Examination topics
Written final report (bachelor thesis), taking into account the guidelines for the preparation of bachelor theses; short seminar talk (max. 10 min.) + subsequent discussion (max. 5 min)

The field work will be carried out on the Rax mountain range (about 80 km south of Vienna on the border between Styria and Lower Austria).
For overnight stays (including breakfast), travel (by train/bus) and cable car rides there are costs of around 400 Euros. Approximately 25% of the costs may be reimbursed by the university.
