Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This practical field course involves training in Vienna followed by a 5-week stay between July and September at one of the two sea turtle nesting beaches in Turkey (Mediterranean). Adult turtles are tagged and measured, tracks documented, nests located and protected, hatchlings counted and hatching success determined. This is accompanied by nest temperature measurements and public relations work. First-hand species protection and nature conservation experience in an international setting!
