Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

How do researchers work on topics related to human behavioral biology? In this course, you will practice scientific work and simultaneously prepare for your master's thesis. Where can you find literature on behavioral biology inquiry? How do you organize the vast amount of information? Another focus of this course is the convincing reporting of behavioral biology findings. How do I write a correct and convincing summary? How do I present this to a specialist and lay audience? How do I inspire someone who appreciates and supports my work? The course aims to refine existing knowledge under expert guidance to be optimally prepared for the master's thesis and beyond. In this course, you will also learn how to prepare the exposé for your master's thesis and why the principles of good scientific practice are so important.

Attendance, oral participation, preparation of scientific texts.

Examination topics

Fundamental elements of scientific practice (see objectives, content, and methods of the course) as well as the ability to employ them in the context of human behavioral research.
