Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The lecture gives basics in functional principles of ecosystems and their food chains, energy and material balances as well as the regulation of biotic (bi-systems, symbioses, parabioses, competition, anthropogenic influence) and abiotic factors. The lecture emphasises the ecophysiological aspects of plant reactions to the ecological environmental factors as solar radiation (distribution of radiation, photosynthesis, C3, C4, CAM metabolic ways, photoperiodic phenomena), temperature (heat balance, temperature resistance), water (hydrological cycle and its atmospherilia, plant water balance, drought resistance), wind and soil (structure, pH, nutrient and their availability). As a result of abiotic and biotic factors the biomass production of the plant is presented; a terminological consideration concludes the lesson.
