Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The first part focuses on: Organisation of study data (data base), simple methods of statistical analysis (SPSS), introduction of basic definitions, and graphical display of results. Within the second part, more methods of analysis and graphs are presented. Moreover, the main goal of this part is the individual drafting of a 10-20page manuscript that simulates the common process of producing scientific publications and supports the natural application of acquired skills.

Written final examination and continuous oral examinations

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Deepening of statistical basic knowledge, application-oriented approach, adequate choice of analytic method, interpretation of statistics output, verbalisation of precise conclusions

Examination topics

Theoretical lectures, lots of practical exercises on the computer, homework
