Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Participation in the course, a multiple choice exam and a final report.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Presence on at least 7 days of the course are required. The grade will be based on course participation (30%), a multiple choice exam at the beginning of the second week (30%) and a final report (40%).Prior knowledge about using an UNIX environment and basic programming skills in any language will be helpful but are not required.

In the second week we will apply these skills to current topics of biological data analysis, e.g. sequence alignment, gene detection, and high throughput data analysis.There will be a pre-meeting on the 6th of March at 11am. It will be online and the link will be posted via mail/moodle.
Participation is voluntarily. The main focus will be to discuss open questions by students.
