Die Vorbesprechung findet am 03.03.2016 um 14:30 Uhr im Besprechungszimmer der Verhaltensbiologie statt. UZA 1, Biozentrum Althanstraße 14, 1090 Wien
Teil Vögel: Grünau 14.05.2016-17.05.2016 geblockt (14.05.2016 ist Anreisetag).Übernachtung in der Studenten-Hütte Almsee (Selbstversorgerhütte).
Kosten pro Übernachtung belaufen sich auf 10,- Euro pro Person.Teil Säuger: nach Übereinkunft im Juni 2016. Blumengärten Hirschstetten, 3 Termine (9 Uhr - ca. 12 Uhr) müssen absolviert werden. Die Termine können aus mehreren Terminen gewählt werden.Die Teilnahme an der Vorbesprechung ist verpflichtend, anderenfalls erfolgt eine Abmeldung von der Lehrveranstaltung.
Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Methods in field research will be introduced and trained. The first part of the course will focus on bird research the second one on small mammals. Methods included are: capture-mark-recapture including bird-ringing, determination of physiological and morphological parameters, sexing, telemetry, home-range analyses, methods in behavioural recording, habitat mapping, data analyses.
Assessment and permitted materials
Mitarbeit im Feld und Verfassen eines schriftlichen Protokolls für beide Kursteile.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Participation and writing two reports.
