Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Professional text processing for scientific articles, dynamic implementation of a reference database, generation of a glossary and index, etc. with LaTeX; image processing with GIMP; graphic and poster creation with InkScape

Assessment and permitted materials

At last lecture date: delivery of a final document (in .TEX-format), written with the basics taught in the course. Papers and documentation may be used. Document must contain these things:
- title page
- table of contents, list of Tables, list of figures
- bibliography
- at least one figure
- at least one table
- at least one link to a figure, table, chapter, etc.
- at least one bibliography link

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The aim of the course is, to impart basic knowledge in LaTeX for writing scientific documents; additionally, basic knowledge in GIMP and InkScape will be taught.

Examination topics

Basic knowledge as imparted in the course, based on the course script.
