Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
"Immunology": The lecture aims at providing an understanding of the basis of immune responses and immunity. For the adaptive immune system this includes the cell- and molecular biology of lymphocytes, their differentiation, selection, activation and effector functions. For both innate and adaptive immunity, the principles governing antigen recognition and elimination will be presented. Regulation of immune responses by cell-mediated and humoral mechanisms is a further important aspect.
