Classes

All seminars will be announced individually a few days in advance via email to all participants.
If possible, seminars will be held onsite. If necessary, the seminars will be switched to online mode. All changes in that regard will be announced in due time.


Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this seminar we present and discuss current research undertaken in the Department of Limnology. Yet we also welcome guest presentations from other institutes. We also discuss conceptual papers on aquatic ecology.

Assessment and permitted materials

The Assessment is based on the attendance as well as on the rating of a submitted written protocoll, which should consist of a summary and discussion of three talks (not longer than one A4 page). For Students who give a presentation, the assessment is based on the evaluation of their talk.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Attendance of the seminars is mandatory. Additionally, students need to hand in summaries of 3 selected seminar talks to achieve a passing grade (does not apply to students who volunteer to give a presentation during one of the seminar sessions).

Examination topics

The assessment and grading will be based on the summary of the seminar lectures, or the voluntary presentation held by the student.

Reading list

The seminar talks are the main resource. Lecture slides will be made available on Moodle after each session if possible. No additional literature is required.
