Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Evolutionary analyses using the free software package BEAST (Bayesian Evolutionary Analysis by Sampling Trees) with emphasis on phylogeny reconstruction, molecular dating and phylogeographic analysis.

active participation (100%)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students are acquainted with the software package BEAST and its underlying theoretical background and can apply those to address evolutionary questions (such as phylogeny reconstruction, moelcular dating, phylogeographic analyses).

Examination topics

Presentation (20%) and practical exercise (80%)
