Aims, contents and method of the course
The analysis and understanding of metabolism, its compounds and underlying regulatory principles is a longstanding goal in biology. This lecture will provide an overview of metabolic evolution and discuss the composition and organization of metabolic networks in context of developmental and ecological research questions. In this context, both experimental and theoretical approaches will be focused.
