Traditionally, the rhizosphere is understood as that volume of soil that is influenced by the root. Yet, despite the importance of rhizosphere processes for the development of a plant, not much attention has been paid to them. This lab course aims at introdu ing the rhizosphere and will exemplarily explore organismic diversity, metabolism traits, and biotic interactions.
