Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Aim: Knowledge of Centraleuropean amphibian larvae
Program:
one day laboratory course in April: introduction lesson, determination of preserved larvae using a determination scriptum and a stereomicroscope
3 days with field excursions in June: Sampling in habitats with different amphibian species assemblages, live determination of the larvae using pocket lenses (8x-10x) and additional characters of living larvae.
The dates of the lab course and the field excursions will be fixed at the preparatory meeting with the participants.

Assessment and permitted materials

written exam with determination exercises

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participation in the four days, positive teamworks
Pocket lenses (8x-10x) are absolutely necessary!!!
