Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to botanical-morphological terminology and its application to describing and determining of vascular plants; knowledge of the most important vascular plant species of the central European flora including their ecological position.

Assessment and permitted materials

Insgesamt sind durch die folgenden Leistungen und Teiltests 80 Punkte zu erzielen:

a) Beurteilung der Zeichnungen: 5 Punkte

b) 3 schriftliche Kurztests zu je 15 Punkten (davon ein Streichtest: entweder das schlechteste Teilergebnis oder ein nicht abgelegter Teiltest): 30 Punkte

c) Bestimmung und Analyse einer unbekannten Pflanze: 15 Punkte

d) mündlicher Endtest (Formenkenntnis und Gesamtstoff im Zusammenhang): 30 Punkte

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The participants are able to determine vascular plants. They know about 180 of the most important species and their biological features.

Examination topics

An introductory lecture is followed by practical analyses by the participants with support from the lecturers and tutors.
