The lecture presents the principles of geomorphological processes in
riverine landscapes and their effects on some characteristics and
influencing factors for the vegetation zonation of fluvial
corridors. Examples of Middle European large rivers, mainly the
Austrian reach of the Danube and its tributaries are given. A seminar
(300307) and excursions (300416) complete the topics of this lecture.
