Aims, contents and method of the course

Current questions and methods of evolutionary biology will be applied to research on phenotypic plasticity of amphibian larvae (experimental ecology, geometric morphometry).

Aims: Understanding of current topics in evolutionary biology, ability to apply relevant research methods, practice in writing scientific reports.

Methods: Discussion of scientific papers, practical research in a small team, data analysis and writing of reports.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment of practical work, online presentation and the written papers.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimal requirements: Summary of assigned paper, online presentation of review topic, mini-review of a selected topic in experimental evolutionary biology
Assessment criteria: 15% online presentation, 15% article summary, 70% mini-review
