Aims, contents and method of the course
Topics of this seminar, which will be held in English, are most recent primary literature and research results in microbial ecology. Participants will be asked to present a brief summary of selected research publications and to critically evaluate their contents. Subsequently, strengths and weaknesses of the presented literature will be extracted in a joint discussion.
Assessment and permitted materials
Continuous assessment of course work. Quality and completeness of the seminar presentation; participation in the scientific discussion of the presented publications.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Introduction to the scientific discussion of current research in microbial ecology.
Examination topics
Computer-aided presentation of research papers and results.
