Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The intracellular compartmentation changes with tzhe environmental conditions and the state of cells. Mechanisms of intracellular protein transport are described in detail, together with some original experiments and discussion of the results. This includes the import of proteins into the nucleus, mitochondria, chloroplasts and peroxisomes, as well as the transport along the secretory pathway. The biogenesis of organellar compartments will be discussed in detail, too.

Verständnis grundlegender Mechanismen des intrazellulären Proteintransports und der Entstehung, Weitergabe und Vermehrung von Organellen, sowie der Dynamik der Kompartmentalisierung.
