Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Students are able to explain typical approaches of the quantitative biology and systems biology and are able to design experiments based on these approaches. Students are able to connect data from quantitative biology and systems biology with information from heterogeneous sources of biological data. Students understand fundamental methods of mathematical modeling. Students are able to apply these methods to typical problems in evolutionary systems biology and can interpret the results. This exercise establishes knowledge and practical skills in mathematical modeling of biological systems.

Assessment and permitted materials

Exercise assignments

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Four successful submissions of complex data analysis and modeling challenges.
