Aims, contents and method of the course
Origins and evolutionary history of human housing, cultural phenomena. Savanna hypothesis and resulting landscape preferences (phytophilia, hydrophilia, prospect-refuge and "ideal" habitats). Human territories, proxemics (from personal space up to national territories). Urban living and resulting problems, such as crowding, anonymity and special adaptations.
