Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Origins and evolutionary history of human housing, cultural phenomena. Savanna hypothesis and resulting landscape preferences (phytophilia, hydrophilia, prospect-refuge and ideal habitats). Human territories, proxemics (from personal space up to national territories). Urban living and resulting problems, such as crowding, anonymity and special adaptations. Illustrated through current challenges and research projects.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral examination.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

At least two questions out of three have to be answered correctly (>50%), in total more than 50% correct.
