Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Students are able to independently design and conduct a research Project in the field of metabolomics and/or secondary plant metabolism, including the search for relevant literature, formulation of testable hypotheses, and application of analytical or statistical methods in a novel context, the structuring of experimental or laboratory procedures, data gathering and data analysis, as well as presentation and discussion of the results. Focus lies on analytical methods used in plant metabolomics and secondary plant metabolism research, in ongoing research.
Assessment and permitted materials
Within the framwork of this research oriented practical course, labwork as well as a written exposé at the beginning of the course, and a scientifically oriented protocol at the end, are required.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Exposé to planned work 10%. Written protocol (corresponding to a scientific publication in a journal) 90%. Positive credit from 51 % on
