Aims, contents and method of the course

Overview and focus on the current and future implementation of nature conservation within environmental-, societal and economic policy; actor- and procedure-oriented presentation of the different individual and collective interests influencing nature conservation law and practice at different geographical scales including their interrelation (e.g. international, regional, national and subnational)

Assessment and permitted materials

Exam after the final class, first exam date at the 1st July 2016. 9-11 pm cum tempore, ÜR 1, First Floor, Rennweg: written exam on the content of the lesson (PowerPoint Slides,handouts and oral comments), four dates, 100 points possible, beginning with 50 points obtained a positive mark will be given

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To provide a solid understanding for
- general structures of politics and in particular of nature conservation politics
- interrelations between international, European, national and local political levels
- inter- and transdisciplinary connections of politics with other knowledge disciplines
To transfer the interest and joy in political issues
