Aims, contents and method of the course
The human body between nature and culture is the topic of this course. In detail: the biological biological basis of human morphology and somatic features and the culture typical interpretations of the human body are discussed. Predominantly the effects of modernization and globaliziation on body composition, body weight and associated diseases such as diabetes are discussed. recent literature will be discussed critically.
Assessment and permitted materials
3 parts of examination:
1) presence
2) writing of a review paper (20 pages)
3) presentation of the paper (30 min)
