300354 UE Molecular phylogenetics and phylogenomics (2017W)
Continuous assessment of course work
Labels
The course consists of 8 units half a day (4 hours) each (when necessary or topically useful, there might be two units per day). The course will be held semi-blocked (i.e., not the whole semester, but spread over several weeks). Precise course dates will be established during the initial meeting.

Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Evolutionary analyses using free software packages (e.g., BEAST, RAxML) with emphasis on phylogeny reconstruction, molecular dating and analysis of phylogenomic data.
Assessment and permitted materials
One home exercise per unit, each to be documented in the form of a short and concise protocol. Each protocol can get maximally 5 points, totaling 40 points for the entire course.
