Aims, contents and method of the course
During this interdisciplinary course the ecosystem of a mixed deciduous forest (Wienerwald) is analysed from an ecological point of view regarding microclimate, vegetation ecology, primary and secondary productivity and zoology. The aims of the course are stepwise contributions to a system ecological general view by a long term monitoring programme. The course includes several one day field trips for data assessment, data processing on the laboratory as well as a final report.
