The preliminary meeting will take place on 04.03.2022 at 10 am at the Natural History Museum Vienna, side entrance, Burgring 7, Kurssaal.
LV will take place from March to May 2022 (dates will be determined at the preliminary meeting) on Thursdays from 15.00.16.30 at the Natural History Museum Vienna, Burgring 7, 1010 Vienna, Kurssaal

Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar provides insights into methods of systematic / phylogenetic and evolutionary studies based on molecular genetic data. Various examples from current literature will be used to discuss questions and methods ranging from population genetics and phylogenetics to related disciplines. The seminar is supposed to enhance the students´ ability to critically evaluate scientific publications in molecular evolutionary biology.
Assessment and permitted materials
Seminar with continuous assessment; Seminar lectures by students: Presentation of relevant topics using scientific publications (70%, maximum number of points 14); Active participation in the discussions (30%, maximum score 6)
