Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Analysis of soils that are polluted by heavy metals from industrial and artisanal mining, and their biodiversity. Knowledge of plants and soil microbes shall help to develop strategies for remediation and for avoiding further contamination. We want to inform the population from these regions and help them to prevent further pollution.
Examination topics
haracterization of the biodiversity of the habitats and the physical parameters of the soil, collection of soils, plants and microbes, visit of the laboraories in the University of Managua, prepare plants and soils for further extraction and analysis which will be done in Mangua
