Aims, contents and method of the course
Journal club: Recent interesting scientific literature on Biogeochemistry, Ecosystem Ecology and Soil microbiology will be presented by the participants and discussed in the group. Selection of publications will be done together with the students and can be out of the following topics: Effects of plant-soil interactions on ecosystem C and N cycling (Mycorrhiza, rhizosphere processes), Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Ecology (f.e. C and N cycle, modelling), Social microbial community dynamics in soil. Students can chose a paper from a literature list provided by the instructor, but are also free to suggest an article of their own interest.
