Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course will cover the theoretical foundations of modern biological shape analysis. Data types, processing, and analytical methods will be presented and discussed including methods for landmark coordinates, outlines, and special methods for problems in allometric growth and asymmetry analysis.
Assessment and permitted materials
Course assessment will be based on the written report of results of a study project emulating a presentation an article for submission to a peer-reviewed publication.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Student should be able to identify and formulate shape-related biological problems and understand and carry out appropriate analytical methods to efficiently address the underlying question.
