This Seminar provides the opportunity to present and discuss state of the art research results with a multidisciplinary audience. Selected topics in cell biology, genetics, biochemistry and bioinformatics are presented and critically discussed with an investment of 1 Sem.hour. Among the topics are: Mechanisms of: Mitotic and meiotic chromosome segregation, meiotic recombination and pairing of homologous chromosomes all in various model organisms, as well as biochemistry of the segregation aparatus and quantification of proteins and their modifications using mass spectrometry.
